Ahmedabad Woman Attacked with Knife by Acquaintance Over Refusal to Talk

Ahmedabad: In a shocking incident in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a woman was attacked with a knife by a young man after she refused to speak with him. The victim, Tamanna Mohsin Sheikh, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. Police have confirmed that her condition is serious but stable. A case has been registered against the accused, and CCTV footage is being used to aid the investigation. The police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and claim he will be apprehended soon.

Accused and Victim Previously Known to Each Other
The accused has been identified as Rahim, also known as Noman Latif Sheikh. Police said that Tamanna and Rahim knew each other from before and had maintained friendly ties for some time. However, after Tamanna married Mohsin, she stopped communicating with Rahim, which led to tensions between them. Some disputes between the two are also pending in court.

Attack Took Place Over Personal Dispute
According to police, Tamanna was visiting her maternal relatives in Behrampura when the incident occurred. Around nighttime, while she was near a local shop, Rahim confronted her, questioning why she was out alone and why she was not talking to him. When Tamanna did not respond, Rahim became enraged. Witnesses and CCTV footage indicate that he verbally abused her before suddenly drawing a knife and stabbing her four times. Following the attack, Rahim fled the scene, causing panic in the vicinity.

Police have assured that the investigation is ongoing and are examining all leads to apprehend the accused.
