
Meerut: Following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, 6,65,647 voters have been removed from the voter list across seven assembly constituencies in Meerut district. These individuals were identified as deceased, relocated, long-term absent, or duplicate entries (ASD category).
The district administration has made the final booth-wise list of these ASD voters publicly available on the official website. Citizens can now check the details of their constituency and polling booth online at https://meerut.nic.in/asdfinal/.
Draft Voter List to Be Published on 6 January
District Magistrate and District Election Officer Dr. V.K. Singh stated that after verifying the data collected during the SIR process, the final list of ASD voters has been issued. He added that the draft voter list will be published on 6 January, which will include all updated voter details.
Meerut Has Over 26 Lakh Registered Voters
The SIR campaign in Uttar Pradesh, including Meerut, was conducted from 4 November to 26 December, involving door-to-door verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs). Voters whose SIR forms were incomplete or whose status was uncertain were classified under the ASD category. According to finalized data, Meerut district now has a total of 26,99,820 registered voters, of which 6,65,647 names have been removed during the SIR process.
Public Can Still Raise Objections
The District Election Officer has appealed to citizens to carefully check their names and details in the draft voter list. Any eligible voter whose name has been mistakenly omitted or contains errors can file a claim or objection within the prescribed timeline.
