After Sadhvi Prem Baisa Case, Sadhu Heeralal Nath Found Dead in Locked Room at Hilltop Temple in Jaipur’s Samod

Jaipur: In another shocking incident following the recent suspicious death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa in Jodhpur, a 41-year-old sadhu was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Samod area of Jaipur.

The deceased, identified as Sadhu Heeralal Nath, was found inside a room at a temple complex located on a hill under the jurisdiction of the Samod police station. The room was reportedly locked from inside, adding to the mystery surrounding the death.

Police have launched an investigation and stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report.

Incident Came to Light After Foul Smell Spread

The case surfaced on Wednesday when villagers noticed a strong foul smell coming from the temple premises. Alarmed by the smell, locals immediately informed the police.

Upon reaching the site, the Samod police found the door of the sadhu’s room locked from inside. The police then broke open the door and entered the room, where they discovered the body lying inside.

Sadhu Lived Alone for Two Years

According to local residents, Sadhu Heeralal Nath had been living alone in a room at the temple complex for nearly two years. He was known to lead a secluded lifestyle and had minimal contact with people around him.

Villagers also stated that he had recently begun observing strict silence and intense penance, cutting off almost all external communication.

Had Taken a Vow of 41 Days of Penance

Police were informed that the sadhu had sent a message to one of his acquaintances on January 27, stating that he had begun a 41-day spiritual penance. Since then, he had stopped talking to anyone and had not been seen leaving his room.

Due to this, no movement was noticed for several days, which raised suspicion only after the foul smell became unbearable.

Police Send Body for Post-Mortem

The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. Chomu DSP Rajesh Jangid confirmed that an investigation has been initiated.

“We have started investigating the matter. The cause and time of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report,” the DSP said.

He also added that no visible signs of struggle or damage were found at the scene.

Locals Being Questioned

Police are currently questioning people associated with the temple and villagers living nearby to determine the sadhu’s routine in his final days and to find out when he was last seen alive.

Authorities have stated that all angles are being examined and further action will depend on the medical report.
