Kushinagar, UP: Authorities have initiated action following the suspension of board examinations for 700 students of Goswami Tulsidas Inter College in Kushinagar. A case has been registered against clerk Gyan Prakash Pathak under serious sections, and an investigation is underway.
Allegations and Irregularities
Approximately 700 students from the correspondence program at the college in Padrauna Nagar had applied for the board exams. Preliminary investigation revealed serious procedural lapses: certificates were signed by clerk Gyan Prakash Pathak instead of the designated nodal officer, violating exam regulations.
As a result, the students’ exam forms were canceled due to non-payment of exam fees, leaving them unable to appear for exams and effectively wasting an academic year. Parents and students have expressed strong anger over the incident. Reports also indicate that thousands of rupees were collected from each student, but the required procedures were not properly followed.
Questions Raised on School Authorities
The role of District Education Inspector Shravan Gupta has also come under scrutiny. Allegations suggest that while a separate nodal officer was appointed during the principal’s tenure, proper verification of the exam forms was not conducted.
Next Steps
Police are actively investigating the matter. Officials have stated that further action will be taken against other responsible individuals based on the outcome of the probe.
