Morbi, Gujarat: A tragic incident occurred in Morbi district on Monday when a two-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a car. The accident took place near Patelnagar Society on Alap Road, where the toddler was playing on the street. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
CCTV footage shows the child playing near a bend in the road when a car suddenly appeared, running over her with its front wheel. The vehicle came to an immediate stop, and the driver attempted to lift the girl. Onlookers gathered at the scene and confronted the driver. The Morbi police have filed a case against the driver, who has been identified as Niravbhai Mahadevbhai Bhorania.
Similar Incident in Pune Last Month
A similar accident occurred just a month ago in Pune, when a five-year-old boy, Nishkarsh Ashwat Swami, was hit by a car while riding his bicycle inside Joy Nest Society. Nishkarsh was playing with his grandmother at the time. CCTV footage from the incident shows the car suddenly hitting the boy. He was rushed to a private hospital by the driver, but doctors declared him dead.
These incidents highlight the dangers faced by young children playing near roads and residential complexes, raising urgent calls for enhanced safety measures.
