Baghpat:
In a tragic incident highlighting the growing concern over cardiac issues among young people, an 18-year-old NEET aspirant died of a suspected heart attack while studying at her home in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district.

The incident occurred in Rampur locality of Khekra town, where Simran Sharma, daughter of Dr. Surinder Kaur Sharma, was preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Simran had passed her Class 12 examination last year and was working hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor.

According to family members, Simran was studying alone in her room on Monday evening. At around 8 pm, her brother Raghav entered the room and found her lying on the floor beside the bed. Her body was reportedly drenched in sweat. The family immediately checked her condition, but she had already passed away.

No post-mortem examination was conducted, and the family stated that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Family and Locality in Shock

Simran’s sudden death has left her family devastated. Relatives said the entire family had pinned high hopes on her future as a doctor. Her untimely demise has plunged the household into deep grief, while a pall of sorrow hangs over the neighbourhood.

Residents described Simran as a bright and disciplined student who was fully dedicated to her studies.

Rising Heart Attack Cases Among Youth

Medical experts have expressed serious concern over the rising number of heart attack cases among people below 40 years of age. Doctors attribute this alarming trend to academic stress, irregular lifestyle, lack of sleep, excessive consumption of junk food, and limited physical activity.

Health professionals have stressed the importance of balanced nutrition, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management, particularly for students preparing for competitive examinations.

The incident has once again raised urgent questions about the physical and mental health pressures faced by young aspirants across the country.
