110-Foot Atal Tower in Amroha Becomes Town’s New Landmark, Two Gates Named After Prominent Leaders

Amroha: The Saidnagli Nagar Panchayat in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, has unveiled a majestic 110-foot-tall Atal Tower (Clock Tower), marking a significant milestone in the region’s development. With modern technology, robust construction, and multi-purpose functionality, the tower has emerged as a symbol of pride for Saidnagli and the Moradabad division.

Multi-Functional Design
The four-story tower has been thoughtfully designed to serve administration, security, and public service needs in a single structure. The foundation reaches approximately 45 feet underground to ensure stability and longevity. The ground floor houses a police outpost connected to the main road, enhancing traffic management and regional security. The first floor features a high-tech meeting hall and a small municipal office to provide swift and efficient citizen services. The second floor hosts a surveillance room monitoring the entire town, while the third and topmost floor features the grand clock tower whose chimes are audible from a distance.

Gates Named After Leaders
The tower has three grand entrances, two of which have been named after notable figures—Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, founder of the RSS, and Bhagwat Sharan Sharma—highlighting the cultural and ideological significance of the structure. The tower is equipped with both stairs and an elevator to ensure accessibility for the public.

Moradabad Division’s Tallest Clock Tower
Dr. Anukirti Chaudhary, President of the Nagar Panchayat, stated that the Atal Tower is the tallest tower in the Moradabad division and the first in Uttar Pradesh to house an integrated command and control center (ICCC). This center will play a crucial role in making the town smarter, safer, and more organized. A total of 150 CCTV cameras are being installed across Saidnagli, which will be monitored from this center.

Community Engagement and Development Initiatives
Inspired by the popularity of the Atal Tower, the Nagar Panchayat has launched a special video competition inviting local youth and residents to creatively showcase the tower’s grandeur and features. Winners will be awarded cash prizes on Republic Day. Other ongoing development projects in the town include the transformation of the main market pond into Amrit Sarovar, Ambedkar Park and Martyrs’ Memorial at Mehndipur, a Maharana Pratap statue in Inkoda village, and the Shia Gate in Saidnagli.

The Atal Tower is not just a timekeeping structure; it has quickly become a landmark representing the town’s growth, culture, and technological progress.
