11 People Disappear with Rented E-Scooters in Ghaziabad; Company Files FIR After Massive Fraud

A major case of fraud has come to light in Ghaziabad, where 11 individuals allegedly rented electric scooters and later vanished without returning them. Despite repeated attempts by the rental company to retrieve the vehicles, the accused neither responded to calls nor to messages. The company has now filed an FIR against all 11 people.

Fraud at Scooter Rental Company in Indirapuram

According to the complaint filed at Indirapuram Police Station, Wicked Ride Adventure Services Pvt. Ltd., an electric two-wheeler rental company based in Makanpur, Indirapuram, has been facing repeated violations of their rental agreements.

Akhil Vijayan, the authorised representative of the company, stated that e-scooters are handed over to customers only after completing proper documentation and agreement procedures. However, during a recent audit, the company discovered that 11 rented scooters were missing and had not been returned within the stipulated time.

Recovery Team Failed to Reach the Accused

The company’s recovery team made several attempts to contact the renters.
However, all efforts went in vain—

  • The accused did not answer phone calls,
  • They ignored messages, and
  • They provided no explanation for not returning the vehicles.

This has resulted in a financial loss of several lakhs for the company. Following this, the matter was escalated to the company’s legal team, which then initiated formal police action.

Police Begin Investigation

ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava confirmed that a case has been registered and details of the accused have been requested from the company.

“We are tracking the individuals involved. They will be arrested soon, and the missing scooters will be recovered from their possession,”
