10-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Sack Near Home; Panic Grips Ballia Village

Ballia, Uttar Pradesh:
A wave of shock and grief swept through Aamdari village in Ballia district on Monday morning after the body of a 10-year-old boy was found stuffed inside a sack under a guava tree, barely 100 meters from his home. The deceased has been identified as Yashwant Verma alias Shivam, son of Ramji Verma, and the family’s only child.

According to the family, Shivam had gone out to play in the village around 6 pm on Sunday but never returned home. When he didn’t show up even late into the night, his parents began searching for him but found no trace. A missing person report was filed at Fefna Police Station the same night.

Around 10 am on Monday, villagers spotted a child’s foot sticking out from a sack lying behind a house in a nearby guava orchard. On opening the sack, they were horrified to find Shivam’s body inside. The incident triggered chaos and fear across the village.

On receiving information, Fefna Police along with a forensic team reached the spot. The police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Considering the seriousness of the case, Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh visited the crime scene personally, inspected the area in detail, and instructed the investigation team to take swift action.

Shivam was a student of Holypet Convent School, while his father works as a farmer and labourer to support the family. The brutal killing of the young boy has plunged the village into deep mourning.

Police officials stated that all possible angles are being investigated and assured that the case would be solved at the earliest.
