₹36 Crore Treasure Emerges at Rajasthan’s Famous Sanwaliya Seth Temple; Counting Still Underway

Chittorgarh, Rajasthan:
The revered Shri Sanwaliya Seth Temple in Mewar has shattered all previous records with an unprecedented surge in offerings. The latest counting from the temple’s vault has revealed ₹36 crore 13 lakh 60 thousand in cash, marking the highest-ever collection in the temple’s history. Officials confirmed that the counting is still in progress, and the final figure is expected to rise further.

Record-Breaking Collection After Two Months

Traditionally, the temple administration begins the counting of offerings a day before Amavasya each month. However, the vault was not opened during the previous cycle. After a gap of two months post-Diwali, the vault was finally opened on 19 November.
Four rounds of counting have been completed so far, resulting in the massive figure that has surpassed all past records. The collection also includes foreign currency, highlighting the temple’s global following.

Over 200 Staff Members Assigned for Counting

Given the extraordinary volume of offerings this time, the temple administration has made special arrangements.
For the first time, the counting process has been shifted from the temple premises to the Satsang Bhavan, where 200 staff members are working round-the-clock in three shifts. The entire operation is being closely monitored through CCTV surveillance and manual cameras to ensure complete transparency.

The offerings include not just cash but also gold and silver ornaments, along with foreign coins and notes donated by devotees.

A Devotional Surge in Mewar

The massive collection from the bhandaars has sparked widespread discussion among devotees and local residents. With the count still ongoing, officials believe the final tally may set a new benchmark in temple contributions across the region.
