Haridwar: The sacred land of Haridwar is poised to witness a monumental moment in spiritual history. The Shila Pujan of the Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth, a grand initiative of the Teerth Seva Nyas, will take place on 21 November at 9 AM in Bhupatwala, Haridwar.
More than a religious ceremony, this marks the beginning of a global renaissance of Sanatan Dharma, envisioned to re-establish India’s spiritual identity at the center of world consciousness. The mega project is planned on 100 acres with an estimated cost of ₹1000 crore.
A Vedic-Modern Residential Gurukul to Revive Ancient Indian Education
The Mahapeeth will house a unique residential Vedic-Modern Gurukul, where students will receive integrated training in:
- Vedic scriptures
- Modern science
- Self-employment and skill development
- Traditional weapon training
Students will learn the four pillars of Sanatan life—Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. The Gurukul aims to revive India’s ancient educational legacy, preparing future acharyas, gurus, yogacharyas, karmayogis, and nation-builders.
World’s First ‘Sanatan Parliament’ to Be Established
A major highlight of the Mahapeeth will be the creation of the world’s first Sanatan Parliament House—a global spiritual platform where:
- Saints
- Acharyas
- Dharmacharyas
- Vedic scholars
- Representatives of diverse spiritual traditions
will gather to finalize dharmic resolutions, principles, and cultural policies. The Sanatan Parliament is envisioned as the future global center for Sanatan unity and revival, issuing dharmic guidelines through appointed ‘Sanatan MPs’.
One Lakh ‘Dharma Warriors’ to Be Trained Every Year
The Mahapeeth will include an extensive self-employment and weapon-training center, where one lakh young men and women will be trained annually as dharma warriors.
These trainees will master traditional combat arts and will be prepared to:
- Assist the Indian Army when required
- Support internal security
- Counter anti-Sanatan forces
Inspiration Complexes Dedicated to Four Shankaracharya Peeths
The premises will feature four special complexes inspired by the major Shankaracharya Peeths:
- Dwarka
- Puri
- Sringeri
- Jyotirmath
These complexes will showcase the spiritual heritage, teachings, and contributions of the Acharyas, symbolizing the unity and diversity of Sanatan Dharma.
A Unified Hub for Akharas and Sanatan Traditions
The Vishwa Sanatan Mahapeeth will serve as an integrated center for the vast spiritual spectrum of India. Dedicated campuses will be built for:
- All 13 Akharas
- Sikh, Jain, and Buddhist traditions
- Arya Samaj
- Ravidassia, Kabir Panth
- Nath sect
- And other Sanatan-based lineages
Each campus will display the teachings, history, and contributions of their spiritual leaders, highlighting Sanatan Dharma’s universal message for humanity.
108 Yagyashalas, Saint Residences & Pilgrim Facilities
The project will also feature:
- 108 Yagyashalas for continuous Vedic rituals
- 108 modern cottages for saints from India and abroad
- 1008 guest accommodations for pilgrims and devotees
These world-class facilities will ensure that every visitor experiences both spiritual enrichment and complete hospitality.
