Navi Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continued their winning streak in the Women’s Premier League 2026, defeating Gujarat Giants by 32 runs in their third consecutive match. Shreyanka Patil starred with a season-best five-wicket haul, ensuring RCB dominated their opponents at the DY Patil Sports Academy.

Radha Leads RCB’s Batting Charge
Batting first, RCB posted 182 for 7 in a competitive total. The innings began strongly with 23 runs in the opening over. Grace Harris hit four boundaries off Renuka Singh Thakur, aided by 7 extra runs, before Gujarat fought back. Kashvi Gautam removed Harris (17) and D Hemlata (4), while Renuka sent Smriti Mandhana back for 5. Gautami Naik fell for 9, leaving RCB reeling at 43 for 4.

At this crucial juncture, Richa Ghosh and Radha Yadav stitched a 105-run partnership off 66 balls to revive the innings. Radha Yadav continued the assault, sharing a 31-run stand in just 17 balls with Nadine de Klerk, who contributed 26 off 12 balls. Yadav finished unbeaten on 66 off 47 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 6 fours. For Gujarat, Sophie Devine claimed 3 wickets while Kashvi Gautam took 2.

Shreyanka Patil’s Season-Best Spell
Chasing 183, Gujarat Giants struggled against the fiery bowling of Shreyanka Patil and England’s pace bowler Lauren Bell. Patil returned 5 wickets for just 23 runs in 3.5 overs, the best bowling performance of the season, while Bell picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. Despite an aggressive start by captain Beth Mooney (27) and Bharti Phoolmali (39), Gujarat lost quick wickets and collapsed to 150 all out, handing RCB a comfortable 32-run victory.

With this win, RCB maintains momentum in the WPL 2026 and continues to assert themselves as strong contenders in the tournament.
