A victory would give Delhi eight points, securing third place and a berth in the Eliminator against Gujarat Giants at BCA Stadium on 3 February. A loss would eliminate them from the tournament. Currently, both Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have six points, but Mumbai’s better NRR keeps them ahead. If the match ends in a draw, Delhi would reach seven points, which could alter the standings.

UP Warriors Need a Miracle

UP Warriors currently sit fifth with four points from seven matches and a NRR of -1.146. While mathematically still in the race, they would need a near-miraculous victory—beating Delhi Capitals by 156 runs or more—to enter the playoffs. Such a win would put them level on points with Mumbai and Delhi, but a superior NRR would allow UP Warriors to leap into third place.
