The viral video has left cricket fans amused, with many joking about Pakistan’s experience in Sri Lanka. The clip highlights unusual or lackluster arrangements for the team, which has become a trending topic on platforms like X (formerly Twitter).
Pakistan Scrapes Through Against Netherlands
Pakistan’s campaign started with a nail-biting encounter against the Netherlands. The match was closely contested, with Pakistan barely securing a three-wicket win. After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Pakistan restricted the Netherlands to 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Chasing 148, Pakistan struggled and could only clinch the match in the final over, thanks to a late attacking innings from Faheem Ashraf.
Pakistan Agrees to Play Against India on February 15
Before the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match on February 15, there was controversy. The Pakistani government initially refused to play the match, citing support for Bangladesh. However, following discussions between the ICC, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Bangladesh Cricket Board, Pakistan agreed to participate. The ICC has officially confirmed Pakistan will play the group-stage match against India.
It is worth noting that Pakistan has not defeated India in any format since the 2022 Asia Cup, adding extra anticipation to this fixture.
