Vaibhav Suryavanshi Celebrates U19 World Cup Win with Bhojpuri Dance; Fans Love His Desi Moves

New Delhi: After leading India to its sixth Under-19 World Cup title, 14-year-old star opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi celebrated in style—dancing to a Bhojpuri song, much to the delight of fans. Videos of his dance have gone viral across social media, showing a lighter and joyous side of the cricket prodigy.

“Punjabi Song Not Working, Let’s Play Bhojpuri!”
Following India’s emphatic victory over England in the final of the U19 World Cup 2026, the dressing room erupted in celebration. In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals, Suryavanshi can be seen saying, “Punjabi song is not working, friends. Now it’s time for a Bhojpuri song.” Moments later, Pawan Singh’s popular track “Sorry Sorry” played, and Suryavanshi lit up the room with energetic dance moves. His fans have praised not just his enthusiasm, but also the way he proudly showcases his cultural roots, hailing from Bihar.

Historic Innings Leads to Celebration
Suryavanshi’s jubilant dance came after an unforgettable performance on the field. In the final, he smashed a breathtaking 175 runs off just 80 balls, including 15 sixes and 15 fours, propelling India to a mammoth total of 411. England was subsequently restricted to 311, giving India a 100-run victory and the U19 World Cup trophy.

Player of the Final and Tournament
For his extraordinary performances, Suryavanshi was named both Player of the Final and Player of the Tournament. During the awards ceremony, he shared insights into his success: “I had complete faith in my skills to contribute in big matches. In the final, we decided not to take unnecessary pressure, followed the process that worked throughout the tournament, and played our natural game.”

Suryavanshi, now playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, is widely regarded as the next big star of Indian cricket, balancing his on-field brilliance with a vibrant and relatable personality off the field.
