
New Delhi: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has officially begun with high excitement, as 20 teams battle for the prestigious title. Hosted jointly by India and Sri Lanka, the tournament has been divided into four groups, each consisting of five teams.
Every team will play against the other teams in its group, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage. A total of 55 matches will be played in the tournament, while the grand final is scheduled for March 8.
As the opening matches conclude, the points table has started taking shape, with Pakistan leading Group A and New Zealand dominating Group D.
