Messi is expected to interact with both teams at around 10:50 AM, and will also honor the Santosh Trophy-winning team of Bengal.
In addition, Messi will conduct a ‘Masterclass with Messi’ session for children, alongside Luis Suárez, Rodrigo De Paul, and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been invited to the event and will virtually unveil a 70-foot tall statue of Messi at Shreebhumi Clock Tower from her hotel.
Messi’s Previous Visit and Upcoming Delhi Event:
Messi last visited India 14 years ago in 2011, when Argentina defeated Venezuela 1-0 at Salt Lake Stadium. His current ‘Got India Tour’ will conclude on December 15 in Delhi, where he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participate in an event at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
