Actress Khushi Mukherjee is in legal trouble after making claims that Indian T20 captain Surya Kumar Yadav frequently messaged her. A defamation case worth Rs 100 crore has now been filed against her.
New Delhi/Mumbai: Social media influencer Faizan Ansari filed a defamation lawsuit worth Rs 100 crore against Khushi Mukherjee on 13 January. The case stems from an interview in which Mukherjee alleged that Surya Kumar Yadav had sent her numerous messages.
Complaint Filed in Ghazipur
Ansari, a resident of Mumbai, lodged the complaint at Ghazipur Police Station, claiming that Mukherjee’s statements were false and damaging to Yadav’s reputation. He traveled from Mumbai to Ghazipur to ensure the FIR was registered. According to Ansari, Mukherjee made these claims solely for publicity, potentially harming the image of a national-level cricketer. He demanded strict action, including a minimum seven-year jail sentence for Mukherjee.
Speaking to the media, Ansari said:
“We want an immediate FIR against Khushi Mukherjee. My written complaint calls for strict legal action under serious sections. I have over two million followers on Instagram, and my videos reach millions worldwide. It is my responsibility to bring this issue to light. I fear no one; I only seek justice.”
Legal Action and Warning
Explaining his decision to file a Rs 100 crore defamation case, Ansari added:
“Everything is clearly documented. Earlier, we also filed a Rs 100 crore defamation case against Poonam Pandey. Our legal team is very strong. If Mukherjee can prove her allegations, she will publicly admit her mistake. Until then, every city and citizen should support Surya Kumar Yadav. This is a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation, which we will not allow.”
Mukherjee’s Allegations
Recently, Khushi Mukherjee claimed that Surya Kumar Yadav had messaged her frequently and suggested that several cricketers were interested in her. However, she also clarified that there was never any romantic relationship between her and the Indian batsman.
