
New Delhi: Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin hosted a mock auction on his YouTube channel, giving fans a sneak peek into which players might attract the highest bids. The official mini-auction is scheduled for 16th December at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
Here are the top five players who stole the show in Ashwin’s mock auction:
1. Cameron Green (Australia)
The all-rounder was the most sought-after player, with Chennai Super Kings hypothetically acquiring him for ₹21 crore. Green is expected to be among the priciest players in the real auction as well.
2. Liam Livingstone (England)
Kolkata Knight Riders picked the English all-rounder for ₹18.5 crore. Known for his explosive batting and handy bowling, Livingstone remains a top target for franchises.
3. Venkatesh Iyer (India)
The KKR stalwart, recently released by the franchise, was bought back in the mock auction for ₹17.5 crore. Fans expect a fierce bidding war for Iyer during the official auction.
4. Ravi Bishnoi (India)
India’s star leg-spinner also attracted heavy bids, with Sunrisers Hyderabad hypothetically securing him for ₹10.5 crore. Bishnoi’s consistency and wicket-taking ability make him a valuable asset in T20 cricket.
5. Jason Holder (West Indies)
The West Indies all-rounder was picked by Lucknow Super Giants for ₹9 crore, showcasing his continued demand in franchise cricket.
