India A Crush Namibia by 130 Runs in T20 World Cup 2026 Warm-up Match

India A delivered a stunning all-round performance in the T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up match, defeating Namibia by a massive 130-run margin at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, Ground 1 on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, India A posted a strong total of 197 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Namibia collapsed dramatically and were bowled out for just 67 runs in 12.1 overs, marking one of their most disappointing performances in recent times.

Parag-Dhir Partnership Powers India A

India A had a shaky start, losing both openers early and slipping to 25 runs quickly. However, the match turned completely in India’s favour when Riyan Parag and Naman Dhir stitched together a match-winning partnership.

The duo added 111 runs for the third wicket in just 65 balls, taking India A’s score to a commanding position.

  • Riyan Parag played a brilliant knock of 69 runs off 39 balls, smashing 6 sixes and 5 fours.
  • Naman Dhir supported him well with a quickfire 39 runs off 29 balls, including 3 sixes and 1 boundary.
  • Ashutosh Sharma also contributed valuable runs, scoring 35.

For Namibia, bowlers Ruben Trumpelmann, Max Hingo, and captain Gerhard Erasmus picked up two wickets each, while Bernard Scholtz and Willem Maimberg claimed one wicket apiece.

Namibia Collapse to 67 All Out

Chasing 198, Namibia suffered a disastrous start, losing two wickets without scoring and their third wicket at just 2 runs. They never recovered from the early blow.

A small partnership between Loftie-Eaton and Jan Frylinck added 23 runs, but once the stand was broken, Namibia’s batting crumbled again.

  • Jan Frylinck scored 12 runs off 13 balls.
  • Loftie-Eaton managed 9 runs.

At 40 runs, Namibia had already lost eight wickets. Later, Dylan Leicher and Willem Maimberg added 20 runs for the ninth wicket, but the effort was too little and too late.

India A Bowlers Dominate

India A’s bowlers produced a lethal spell, dismantling Namibia with pace and discipline.

  • Gurjapneet Singh – 2 wickets
  • Mayank Yadav – 2 wickets
  • Ashok Sharma – 2 wickets
  • Vipraj Nigam – 2 wickets
  • Ayush Badoni – 1 wicket
  • Ravi Bishnoi – 1 wicket
