“I Have Two Elbows!” Pakistan Spinner Usman Tariq Reveals Shocking Truth; MS Dhoni’s Film Changed His Destiny

Pakistan’s emerging mystery spinner Usman Tariq has become the talk of the town during the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, with his unique bowling action and extraordinary performance generating headlines. Recently, Tariq made a startling revelation about his unusual bowling style that has left cricket fans stunned.

Usman Tariq’s Shocking Claim

After taking three crucial wickets against the USA, Tariq faced renewed chucking allegations. Addressing the controversy, Tariq clarified that the unusual bend in his arm is not a technical flaw but a biological condition. He revealed:
“I have two elbows in my arm. My arm bends naturally. I have undergone medical examinations and received a clean chit. People assume I deliberately bend my arm, but it’s simply the natural structure of my body.”

This revelation has surprised cricket experts and fans alike, putting his bowling action under a new light.

How MS Dhoni’s Film Inspired His Comeback

Usman Tariq’s journey to professional cricket reads like a movie script. According to his cousin Haseeb ur Rehman, Tariq had quit cricket at one point. However, after watching the Bollywood film “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, he was inspired to return. The scene in which Dhoni rushes to catch a train to pursue his cricketing dreams motivated Tariq to restart his career. He soon joined an academy in Naushera and gained recognition as a net bowler under Iftikhar Ahmed.

Support from Indian Cricketer R. Ashwin

Tariq’s unusual pause before his run-up had raised questions from former Indian cricketer Shrivats Goswami, who likened it to football’s penalty rules. However, R. Ashwin defended Tariq, arguing:
“If a batsman can switch-hit or play a reverse shot without prior notice, why should restrictions apply only to bowlers? ICC should first revise rules that require bowlers to inform the umpire when changing their bowling arm.”

Pakistan in Brilliant Form

Thanks to a half-century from Sahibzada Farhan, Pakistan posted a commanding 190 runs. Tariq’s spin wizardry restricted the USA to 158/8, earning him three crucial wickets. With this 30-run victory, Pakistan sits at the top of Group A, while Tariq’s bowling action continues to attract attention and debate ahead of the high-stakes clash against India on 15 February.
