Grace Harris Equals WPL Record by Smashing 32 Runs in a Single Over

The 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) witnessed a jaw-dropping display of power-hitting as Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) Grace Harris scored 32 runs off a single over bowled by West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin against UP Warriors. This spectacular feat equaled the record for the most expensive over in WPL history, adding yet another thrilling moment to the tournament.

Sixth Over Turns Into a Run-Fest
The record-breaking over came during RCB’s chase against UP Warriors at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Deandra Dottin, known for her bowling prowess, came on to bowl the sixth over. However, Harris unleashed a relentless assault, hitting boundaries and sixes at will. By the end of the over, 32 runs had been scored, placing Dottin among the bowlers who have conceded the most runs in a single WPL over.

Record Equals Previous Day’s Feat
Interestingly, the record for the most expensive WPL over had been set just a day earlier. On 12 January, Dottin had inadvertently set the benchmark in Chennai, only for Harris to match it immediately in Navi Mumbai. Harris’s explosive innings not only thrilled fans but also put an experienced bowler like Dottin on the back foot.

Clash of the Titans
Both Dottin and Harris are considered elite players in women’s cricket. Dottin is renowned for her power-hitting and smart bowling, but Monday belonged to Harris, who showcased why she is regarded as one of the most dangerous batters in this format. The high-voltage encounter in WPL 2026 proved once again that in T20 cricket, a single over can turn the match on its head and create history.
