
Indian pacer and all-rounder Shardul Thakur has become a proud father. His wife, Mitali Parulkar, gave birth to a baby boy, bringing immense joy to the Thakur family. Shardul shared this happy news on social media just before the New Year.
A Journey Together
The 34-year-old cricketer married Mitali on 27 February 2023, though the couple has known each other since school. They got engaged in November 2021, in a ceremony attended by several prominent cricketers, including Rohit Sharma.
Shardul Shares His Joy
Posting on Instagram, Shardul expressed his happiness over the arrival of their son. Accompanying photos with his wife, he wrote, “Hidden in the hearts of parents, with silence, trust, and endless love, our little prince has finally arrived. Welcome, dear son – the dream we nurtured quietly for nine beautiful months.”
Mitali’s Entrepreneurial Journey
Mitali, who completed her studies in commerce, initially worked as a company secretary. However, her passion for baking led her to start her own venture, All Jazz Bakery, in Thane. Her bakery has quickly become one of the city’s most popular destinations for freshly baked delights.
Shardul’s Cricketing Career
Shardul made his international debut for India in 2017. To date, he has played 13 Tests, 47 ODIs, and 25 T20Is, scoring 775 runs and taking 131 wickets for the country. He last represented India in a Test during the England tour in July. In IPL 2026, he will play for the Mumbai Indians, having been traded from Lucknow.
