BCCI Shares Rohit and Virat’s Centuries Video, Fans Slam the Richest Cricket Board

The Vijay Hazare Trophy, India’s premier domestic one-day tournament, kicked off with a bang, featuring 19 matches on the first day. Among the highlights were the appearances of Indian cricket superstars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, both of whom scored centuries, yet fans were left frustrated as none of the matches were broadcast live.

Rohit and Virat Shine
In Jaipur, Rohit Sharma smashed 155 runs off 94 balls, including 18 fours and 9 sixes, leading his team to a commanding performance against Sikkim. Meanwhile, in Delhi, Virat Kohli played a brilliant 133-run innings off 101 balls, hitting 14 fours and 3 sixes to secure a win for his side against Andhra Pradesh. Rohit’s century came in just 62 balls, demonstrating his enduring firepower.

Fans React to BCCI’s Video Release
After the matches, BCCI released videos of Rohit and Virat’s innings. However, the board faced a backlash from fans, who criticized the poor video quality. Despite being the world’s richest cricket board, BCCI’s attempt to showcase the stars’ performances disappointed viewers, who expected high-definition coverage of such landmark innings.

Veterans in Their Final Phase
Both Virat and Rohit are in the twilight of their careers, having already retired from Test and T20 internationals. Their presence in the Vijay Hazare Trophy marks a remarkable comeback in ODI cricket. Virat, after failing to score in the first two matches of the Australia tour in October, has scored three centuries and two fifties in the next five matches. Rohit, on the other hand, has scored two centuries and three fifties in seven matches since the Australia tour, proving he still possesses match-winning form.

With such performances, fans eagerly await BCCI to provide better coverage of domestic cricket to showcase the immense talent of India’s top players.
