Arshdeep Singh Dances to ‘Garba’ to Welcome Team India in Rajkot; Fans Go Viral Over His Steps

Rajkot: Indian pace bowler Arshdeep Singh, known for his humorous reels and fun-loving nature, once again stole the spotlight—but this time off the cricket field. Upon Team India’s arrival in Rajkot for the second ODI against New Zealand, Arshdeep delighted fans with his energetic Garba dance moves, leaving social media abuzz.

A Grand Welcome with Local Flair

On Monday evening, Team India received a grand welcome at their hotel. As team members were garlanded with flowers and escorted inside, traditional Gujarati Garba music played, accompanied by local performers dancing along the team’s path. While most players walked straight inside, Arshdeep Singh joined the performers, matching their steps with infectious energy. Fans were thrilled to see the Indian pacer embracing the local culture, and the video quickly went viral online.

Focused on Series Victory, Yet Fun-Loving

While Arshdeep enjoyed the moment, the team’s focus remains firmly on winning the second ODI in Rajkot to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. India had already claimed the first ODI in Vadodara on Sunday. A win in Rajkot on 14 January would effectively secure the series, making the third and final ODI in Indore on 18 January a mere formality.

Arshdeep Still on the Bench for ODIs

Despite his lively display, Arshdeep Singh was not part of the playing XI for the first ODI in Vadodara. Although he is a regular member of India’s T20 squad and currently the leading wicket-taker among Indian T20 bowlers, he remains in and out of the ODI squad. India’s fast bowling trio of Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana performed strongly in Vadodara, and the same combination is likely to be fielded in Rajkot, meaning Arshdeep will once again be on the bench.

Fans, however, are already enjoying glimpses of his playful side, proving that Arshdeep Singh is as entertaining off the field as he is effective on it.
