
Mumbai: Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing on Tuesday, leaving fans and the music industry in shock. Amid this news, former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli’s old tweets praising Arijit have resurfaced and gone viral.
Kohli’s Praise Gains Attention Again
Following Arijit Singh’s retirement announcement, fans quickly dug up Kohli’s 2016 tweet where he expressed his admiration for the singer. On 26 January 2016, Kohli had tweeted, “I might be one of Arijit Singh’s biggest fans. I am mesmerized by his talent and soul-stirring voice. Words cannot describe it.”
