Saurabh Joshi, BJP’s candidate, emerged victorious with 18 votes and is now the city’s new Mayor. Who Is Saurabh Joshi?
Saurabh Joshi represents the new generation of BJP leaders who balance organizational roots with modern political acumen. A law graduate from Panjab University, Joshi’s political journey began with student politics and has now culminated in him occupying the highest office in the Municipal Corporation.
He belongs to the second generation of RSS volunteers and BJP workers, having been immersed in the organization’s ideology from childhood. As a candidate of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), he contested for the positions of President and General Secretary in Panjab University’s student council elections, showcasing his leadership abilities early on.
