Which Caste Does Nitin Nabin Belong To? Know the Population of This Community in Bihar

Patna (Bihar):
BJP’s newly appointed national president Nitin Nabin has recently come into the national spotlight, prompting widespread public curiosity about his background, education, family life, and social identity. Due to the “Sinha” title in his name, many people mistakenly assume that he belongs to the Rajput (Singh) community. However, contrary to this common belief, Nitin Nabin actually hails from the Kayastha caste, a traditionally influential community in Bihar.

According to Bihar’s recent caste survey, the Kayastha community constitutes only about 0.6 percent of the state’s total population. Despite its relatively small чис strength, the community has historically played a prominent role in the intellectual, administrative, and political life of the state. Nitin Nabin’s rise to the top position in the BJP is being seen as a matter of pride for the Kayastha समाज.

A Life Marked by Simplicity and Struggle
Nitin Nabin’s personal journey is often described as a story of simplicity, resilience, and family संघर्ष. He completed his matriculation in 1996 from the prestigious St. Michael’s School in Patna. Thereafter, he moved to Delhi, where he finished his Class 12 education in 1998. While he was preparing for competitive examinations and exploring non-traditional career paths, a tragic turning point changed the course of his life.

The sudden demise of his father, Naveen Kishore Sinha—who was then a BJP विधायक—forced Nitin Nabin to step into active politics at a young age. Following his father’s death, he contested and won a by-election, marking the beginning of his political career. As a result of these circumstances, his formal education remained limited to the 12th standard. Today, his elevation to the top post in the BJP stands as a testament to his organisational skills and political acumen.

Family and Personal Life
Nitin Nabin is the son of Naveen Kishore Sinha and Meera Singh. He is married to Deepmala Srivastava, who earlier worked in a bank. She later resigned from her job and now runs a startup named after their daughter. According to close family sources, Nitin Nabin’s mother had always wished that he would choose a stable and secure career instead of entering the uncertain world of politics. However, destiny had different plans, drawing him towards public service.

From By-Election to National Leadership
After winning the by-election that followed his father’s death, Nitin Nabin steadily built his political journey through grassroots engagement and organisational work. His ascent to the post of BJP national president, scheduled for the 20th of this month, marks a major milestone in his career and reflects his growing influence within the party’s central leadership.

As Nitin Nabin takes charge of one of the most powerful political positions in the country, his story continues to inspire many—especially from smaller communities like the Kayasthas—showing how dedication, perseverance, and organisational क्षमता can pave the way to national leadership.
