Patna: After the Election Commission of India declared the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections on 14 November, the Janata Dal (United) launched a sharp counterattack on the Mahagathbandhan. During the campaign, leaders of the Mahagathbandhan and the Jan Suraaj Party had repeatedly raised questions about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s health. Now, following the NDA’s sweeping victory with 202 seats, JDU has responded strongly.

‘We will get their brains examined’ — Neeraj Kumar

JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar slammed opposition leaders, stating that those who cast doubts on Nitish Kumar’s health would have their “brains examined” and that the report would be made public.
He added that this step was necessary, given the baseless allegations made during the campaign.

Neeraj Kumar also released a poster mocking the family of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, comparing them to characters from the Mahabharata.
“What a magnificent victory this is,” he said. “Where are those people now who claimed that we would ruin Bihar, turn it into Bangladesh, and challenge democracy? People from every caste and religion have once again shown their trust in Nitish Kumar. We salute them.”

‘People have reposed faith in Nitish Kumar’ — Umesh Kushwaha

JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha said that leaders of all NDA alliance partners worked in complete coordination from top to bottom.
“The people appreciated the work and achievements of our leader, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and once again placed their trust in him,” he added.

Komal Singh expresses gratitude after victory

Newly elected JDU MLA Komal Singh expressed happiness over the mandate, saying she would focus on addressing shortcomings in her constituency.
“I will work on building bridges, improving roads, and creating skill-development opportunities for the youth to ensure employment. I will also prioritize women’s welfare,” she said.

The NDA secured 202 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party with 89 seats, followed by JDU with 85 seats. The third position went to Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas), which won 19 seats.
