Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s visit to Balotra has once again raised questions about the BJP organisation’s internal coordination and its approach toward one of its tallest leaders. When Raje reached Kalyanpur, several senior party workers openly complained that they were not informed about her arrival in time.
Their resentment reflects organisational lapses and has triggered a broader debate: Is the BJP sidelining Vasundhara Raje despite her strong electoral relevance?
Raje, a prominent leader from the erstwhile Scindia royal family and two-time CM of Rajasthan, continues to enjoy widespread influence.
Workers Confront Raje Over Lack of Information
During her one-day Balotra tour on Thursday, Raje was directly confronted by BJP workers in Kalyanpur.
They said no official intimation was shared about her visit, forcing them to attend the program only after hearing about it informally.
Many of these workers have been associated with the party since 1996, especially with the late leader Ummmed Singh Araba.
A photograph from the event even shows workers expressing displeasure in front of the former CM.
Raje Questions the MLA, Asks Why Information Was Not Shared
Raje immediately turned to Pachpadra MLA Arun Chaudhary and asked why workers were not informed.
The MLA responded that the schedule had been shared with local leaders—Pradhan, Daularam, and others—who were responsible for passing it on to booth and mandal-level cadres.
However, worker Jagdish Darji countered sharply, saying:
“Workers are only remembered during elections. The rest of the time, we aren’t even informed about important events.”
Raje Advises Workers to Stay Calm
Raje clarified that information about her programs is first sent to the district president, who then forwards it to mandal presidents.
“We cannot convey details individually to everyone,” she said, pointing out that the responsibility lies with the organisation.
Workers, however, maintained that neither the district president nor the mandal president had informed them.
Raje asked them to remain calm and appealed for unity.
Participation in Pran Pratishtha Ceremony and Grand Procession
The main purpose of Raje’s Balotra visit was to attend the three-day Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav at the newly constructed Sant Shri Rajeshwar Bhagwan Temple.
She was welcomed in Kalyanpur by Pachpadra MLA Arun Chaudhary and Siwana MLA Hameer Singh Bhayal.
Raje unveiled the banner for a blood donation camp held in memory of late Ummmed Singh Araba and interacted with party workers.
The first day of the festival witnessed a grand Jal Yatra and Varghoda, with thousands from the Chaudhary Kalbi community participating.
The procession featured musical bands, traditional drums, elephants, camels, horses, and 65 decorated chariots carrying divine idols.
Raje rode on one of the chariots, greeting people along the route, while several social organisations welcomed her with flower showers.
Addressing the gathering, she said the construction of the majestic temple is a matter of pride for Balotra, Rajasthan, and the entire community.
She emphasised unity and highlighted how cultural celebrations strengthen society.
