Tej Pratap Yadav Names Five ‘Jaychands’ in Political Controversy Over Anushka Yadav’s Child

Patna, Bihar: A political storm erupted in Bihar when Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JSJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav reacted sharply to the news of Anushka Yadav becoming a mother. Claiming that the child was not his and that he had no personal relationship with Anushka, Tej Pratap publicly named five individuals he accused of conspiring against him, referring to them as “Jaychands.”

The five individuals named are: Mukesh Roshan, Sanjay Yadav, Shakti Singh Yadav, Sunil Singh, and Rameez Khan.

Who Are They?

  • Mukesh Roshan: MLA from Mahua constituency in Vaishali district, representing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He defeated Tej Pratap in the 2025 Bihar elections and is a trained dentist from Patna’s Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences.
  • Sanjay Yadav: RJD’s trusted strategist and Rajya Sabha MP. Known to Tej Pratap’s brother Tejashwi Yadav since school and cricket days, he plays a key role in party decisions and organizational strategy.
  • Shakti Singh Yadav: Former MLA from Hilsa, regarded as a highly trusted member of the Lalu Prasad Yadav family and vocal in defending party positions in the media.
  • Sunil Singh: Member of the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC), closely associated with Rabri Devi, treating her as a sister. Despite this, Tej Pratap accused him of spreading rumors to tarnish his image.
  • Rameez Khan: A close friend of Tejashwi Yadav from Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, and a former first-class cricketer who played alongside Tejashwi in Delhi and Jharkhand. He is also alleged to be part of the faction conspiring against Tej Pratap.

The term “Jaychand” refers historically to a 10th-century Rajput noble who betrayed Prithviraj Chauhan, making it synonymous with treachery in Indian political discourse.
