New Delhi: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, likening them to “expired injections” and asserting that their leadership has effectively destroyed the Congress party.
Statement Sparks Political Debate
Chugh’s remarks came in response to Congress MP Imran Masood’s endorsement of Priyanka Gandhi as a potential Prime Ministerial candidate, triggering a fresh debate in political circles. Speaking to IANS in New Delhi, Chugh criticized decades of Congress leadership, including Robert Vadra, Priyanka Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the public has already delivered electoral punishment to the party 95 times for its misdeeds.
Congress Leadership in Crisis
Chugh said that despite repeated defeats, Congress leaders continue to dream of Priyanka Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister. “This clearly signals a leadership crisis within Congress,” he added. Targeting Priyanka Gandhi, Chugh referenced her famous statement in Uttar Pradesh, “I am a girl, I can fight”, questioning the outcome: her leadership has collapsed, and the party’s credibility is eroded.
‘Expired Injection’ Analogy
“Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are like expired injections,” Chugh remarked. “They have completely destroyed the Congress party. Leadership in Congress is determined not by the people, but by the family, which is why dynastic claims repeatedly fail at the ballot box.”
Illegal Immigration and National Security
On the issue of illegal immigration, Chugh emphasized that it is not merely a demographic debate but a matter of India’s sovereignty, unity, and national security. He accused Congress of protecting migrant vote-banks for decades and claimed that Rahul Gandhi continues to do so. Chugh asserted that strict action against illegal immigrants is essential for a developed India, stating, “Detect them, Delete them, Deport them”.
