Rohingyas and Illegal Migrants Removed Through SIR: Jagdambika Pal Says NDA’s Bihar Victory Sends a Strong Message

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has said that the outcome of the Bihar Assembly elections delivers a clear message for the future. He asserted that the electorate has decisively rejected the Opposition’s attempt to politicize the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list.

“SIR Removed Only Rohingyas and Illegal Migrants”: BJP MP

Responding to criticism from the Opposition, Pal emphasized that the SIR process was carried out strictly to cleanse the voter rolls of Rohingyas and other illegal infiltrators, not genuine Indian voters.

“This victory itself is a message for the future. The Opposition tried to make SIR an election issue, but the results show that the people have rejected it. Through the SIR process, only Rohingyas and infiltrators were removed,”
Jagdambika Pal said.

Pal added that the mandate reinforces people’s trust in the NDA’s governance model and its development agenda for Bihar.

NDA’s Victory Reflects Trust in Governance

The BJP leader said that the election verdict reflects strong support for the NDA’s policies and its vision for Bihar’s future growth. The result, he stated, is a reaffirmation of the alliance’s commitment to stability, security, and development.

New Cabinet and Portfolio Allocation

Earlier on 20 November, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Chief Minister for a record 10th time, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior NDA leaders. BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.

A total of 25 ministers were sworn in, including prominent leaders such as:

  • Vijay Kumar Chaudhary (JD(U))
  • Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JD(U))
  • Shravan Kumar (JD(U))
  • Mangal Pandey (BJP)
  • Dilip Kumar Jaiswal (BJP)
  • Ashok Chaudhary (JD(U))

The Chief Minister also allocated portfolios to the newly appointed ministers. In a significant move, the crucial Home Department was handed over to the BJP.

The ceremony took place at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan, a site known for several major political events, including Nitish Kumar’s swearing-ins in 2005, 2010, and 2015, and Jayaprakash Narayan’s iconic 1974 call for “Sampoorna Kranti.”
