Rajasthan Villages Set for Transformation: CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces ₹152 Crore Development Boost at Gram Utthan Camp

Alwar (Rajasthan): Rajasthan’s rural development drive gained fresh momentum on Sunday as Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the Gram Utthan Camp organized in Bahala village of Ramgarh Assembly constituency (Alwar district). During the event, the Chief Minister announced development works worth over ₹152 crore, aimed at strengthening basic infrastructure and improving living standards in rural areas.

The projects include major improvements in education, healthcare, electricity, road connectivity, drinking water supply, and other essential civic facilities. The Chief Minister stated that villages are the true soul of India and empowering them is the key to building a developed Rajasthan.

Strong Push Towards Self-Reliant Villages

Addressing the gathering, CM Sharma said the state government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is implementing multiple welfare schemes to make villages self-reliant. He highlighted that initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Mission have helped eliminate open defecation in many rural areas, while the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has ensured permanent housing for thousands of families.

He also emphasized that the Jal Jeevan Mission is delivering clean drinking water through tap connections to households across the state.

“VBG Ram Ji Act” to Strengthen Rural Employment

The Chief Minister announced that under the VBG Ram Ji Act, rural residents will now get employment for 125 days annually. He said all work will be carried out using modern technology and transparent systems, ensuring that wages are transferred directly into workers’ bank accounts.

CM Sharma added that the act will help build long-term assets in villages and overcome the shortcomings of previous employment schemes like MNREGA.

Over 1,800 Gram Utthan Camps Held So Far

The Chief Minister informed that Rajasthan has already conducted more than 1,800 Gram Utthan Camps so far. Through these camps:

  • 1.34 lakh Soil Health Cards have been distributed
  • Over 65,000 Swamitva Cards have been issued
  • Applications for nearly 37,000 Kisan Credit Cards have been received
  • Treatment has been provided to around 6.5 lakh livestock
  • Over 36,000 registrations have been completed under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme

Special Focus on Farmers, Livestock Owners and Youth

CM Sharma reiterated that farmers in Rajasthan are being provided ₹9,000 annually under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. For livestock owners, the government has launched the Chief Minister Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to employment, he stated that more than one lakh government jobs have already been provided, recruitment for 1.54 lakh posts is currently underway, and the government plans to announce one lakh more recruitments in the coming period.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav Praises Initiative

Union Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav also addressed the event and said that Gram Utthan Camps have accelerated rural development in Rajasthan. He appreciated the state’s efforts in areas such as dairy development, solar energy promotion, and water conservation.

He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving a proposed dairy project in Alwar.

Benefits Distributed to Citizens

During the program, CM Sharma visited departmental exhibitions and distributed certificates, cheques, and assistive devices. Specially-abled beneficiaries were also provided electric wheelchairs.

The event witnessed the presence of public representatives, senior officials, and a large number of villagers, reflecting strong public participation in the government’s rural upliftment mission.

With major announcements and direct benefit delivery, the Gram Utthan Camp is being seen as a significant step towards building a stronger and developed rural Rajasthan.
