Jaipur/Dholpur: In a landmark move marking the completion of two years of Bhajanlal Sharma’s government, Rajasthan has directly transferred ₹1,054 crore to the bank accounts of 91.58 lakh women across the state. The announcement was made at a grand women’s conference held in Dholpur, where the Chief Minister pressed a single button to deposit the amount via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under various social security pension schemes.
Empowering Women Across Categories
The transferred amount includes pensions for widows, senior citizens, and single women, providing direct financial assistance without intermediaries. Witnessing the instant credit of funds in their accounts, thousands of women expressed joy and gratitude. Additionally, the Chief Minister distributed ₹100 crore in loans to women associated with Rajivika groups, further supporting their entrepreneurial aspirations.
DBT Ensures Transparency and Eliminates Corruption
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the DBT system ensures complete transparency, delivering government benefits directly to beneficiaries without any role for middlemen. “This is a step towards a corruption-free governance model, where every beneficiary receives the full amount allocated by the government in one go,” the CM stated, highlighting the administration’s commitment to transparency and efficiency.
Women as the Nation’s Strength
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari praised the state’s initiatives, saying, “These schemes exemplify women’s empowerment. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, women are provided not only support but also opportunities to excel. Women are now stepping beyond household boundaries to actively contribute to nation-building.” She added that the government has pledged to turn women’s power into national strength, enabling them to take roles not just as beneficiaries but as policy makers and leaders.

The women’s conference in Panchgaon, Dholpur, was attended by several prominent leaders, including CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy CM Diya Kumari, State Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham, former State President Ashok Parnami, State Secretary Kailash Meghwal, State Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha, district in-charges Ravi Nair and Govind Chaudhary, along with local leaders, MPs, and thousands of women participants.
