Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma to Address First Rally in Vasundhara Raje’s Stronghold

Jhalawar, Rajasthan: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is set to address his first public rally in the stronghold of former CM Vasundhara Raje on 22nd December. The rally, to be held in the Dag Assembly constituency of Jhalawar district, will focus on women’s empowerment, highlighting the state government’s initiatives in this area.

First Rally in Jhalawar Since Becoming CM
This will mark the first time CM Bhajanlal Sharma is addressing a public gathering in Vasundhara Raje’s political bastion since taking office. The venue for the rally is Dudhalia village, where the Chief Minister will interact with local residents during the women’s empowerment program.

Political Context
Vasundhara Raje served as Rajasthan’s Chief Minister twice, in 2003 and 2013, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, in 2023, the party chose Bhajanlal Sharma as its new face for the CM’s post, marking a significant leadership transition. Since then, Raje’s supporters within the state BJP have maintained a visible presence, while Sharma’s government has completed two years in office. This rally represents the CM’s first significant public outreach in her traditional constituency.

Preparations and Security Arrangements
Chief Minister Sharma had briefly visited Jhalawar earlier for the Anta Assembly bypolls, but stayed only for 15 minutes. For the upcoming rally, district officials have made extensive preparations. Kota Divisional Commissioner Anil Kumar Agrawal visited Jhalawar and conducted a high-level meeting at the mini-secretariat to finalize arrangements. District Collector Ajay Singh Rathore, along with senior police officers, oversaw security and logistical planning.

Inaugurations and Exhibitions
In addition to addressing the rally, CM Bhajanlal Sharma will inaugurate the MNREGA Park, a biogas plant, and a cowshed, and lay the foundation stones for key projects. The Information & Public Relations Department will organize an exhibition showcasing women’s empowerment initiatives. Approximately 25 stalls will display self-employment activities and government schemes.
