PM Modi Targets Congress, Calls Gandhi Family a Threat to Democracy During BJP President Nitin Nabin’s Oath Ceremony

New Delhi: During the oath-taking ceremony of BJP’s newly elected President Nitin Nabin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, accusing it of supporting illegal immigrants and undermining India’s democracy. He also called the Gandhi family “a threat to the country” and emphasized that India would not allow immigrants to deprive the poor and youth of their rights.

Allegations Against Congress
PM Modi highlighted the issue of illegal immigration, saying that countries worldwide are scrutinizing and deporting undocumented immigrants, and India must do the same to protect national security and citizens’ rights. He criticized political parties that shield immigrants for vote-bank politics, vowing that such actions must be exposed to the public.

Addressing the Congress’ declining influence, he said, “In 1984, Congress won over 400 seats, nearly 50% of the votes. Today, the party is struggling to secure even 100 seats. Yet, it refuses to introspect because the decline points to the same family that has monopolized the party and continues to provide excuses instead of taking responsibility.”

Focus on Tribal Development and BJP Organization
PM Modi praised BJP’s approach to tribal welfare, contrasting it with past governments that treated tribal communities only as vote banks. He mentioned the PM-Janman scheme for the development of marginalized tribal groups as a step towards inclusive governance.

Speaking on BJP’s internal democratic process, he described the organizational elections culminating in Nitin Nabin’s election as a “symbol of the party’s democratic spirit, organizational discipline, and worker-centric approach.”

BJP’s Journey and Leadership Acknowledgment
PM Modi recalled the contributions of senior BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L.K. Advani, and Murli Manohar Joshi, noting that under their guidance, BJP rose from its formative stage to a dominant national force. He also acknowledged leaders like Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, and Amit Shah for strengthening the party and expanding its presence nationwide, culminating in BJP’s successive victories at the state and central levels under J.P. Nadda’s leadership.
