PM Modi Fires Up Bhabhua Rally, Warns Against “Jungle Raj” Ahead of Bihar Polls

Bhabhua, Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Bhabhua during the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, taking a strong dig at the opposition RJD-Congress alliance. Claiming victory for the NDA after the first phase of voting, Modi accused opposition parties of trying to mislead the youth with false promises, warning that a return of “Jungle Raj” under Tejashwi Yadav would revive lawlessness, extortion, and intimidation.

Targeting Opposition With Viral Songs

Modi highlighted controversial songs circulated by the RJD, including lyrics like “Marab sixer ke chhah goli chhati mein”, accusing them of glorifying violence and lawlessness. He urged voters not to allow the return of “Jungle Raj,” emphasizing that Bihar had suffered under previous misgovernance where extortion, kidnappings, and fear dominated public life.

Development Under NDA

Citing progress in Kaimur, Modi noted how tourism and industry, once restricted by lawlessness and Maoist threats, are now flourishing under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He highlighted how waterfalled areas and religious sites have become safer and more accessible, reflecting the positive impact of law and order improvements.

First Phase Voting Record

The first phase of Bihar elections saw a record 65% voter turnout, the highest in the state’s history. Modi framed this as a mandate against the opposition’s empty promises, portraying the election as a battle between “good governance vs promises of jobs”. He dismissed the RJD-Congress manifesto as a “treasure trove of lies,” praising the youth for seeing through it.

Aurangabad Rally: A Reminder of the Past

In Aurangabad, Modi recalled the turbulent days of “Jungle Raj,” mentioning booth looting, firing, and bloodshed. He stated that during the early years of Nitish Kumar’s governance, opposition forces attempted to block Bihar’s development. Modi also reiterated that after the 2014 double-engine government, Bihar received three times more funding for development projects.

The Prime Minister concluded by appealing to the people to reject the return of past misrule and support the NDA for continued growth and law and order in Bihar.
