
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the auspicious occasions of Makar Sankranti, Magh Bihu, and Uttarayan, invoking blessings for happiness, prosperity, and good health for all citizens.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Heartfelt greetings to all citizens on Makar Sankranti. May this divine occasion, steeped in Indian culture and tradition, filled with the sweetness of sesame and jaggery, bring joy, prosperity, and success into everyone’s life. May Surya Dev bless all.”
He noted that Makar Sankranti, which marks the sun’s transition into Capricorn (Makara Rashi), is celebrated across India with local customs and traditions. The festival, also known as Uttarayan, symbolizes positivity, hope, and renewal. PM Modi prayed for the well-being, happiness, and robust health of all citizens.
Wishes for Uttarayan and Magh Bihu
In another post, the Prime Minister extended his greetings for Uttarayan, saying, “Warm wishes on the auspicious occasion of Uttarayan! May this sacred festival of Makar Sankranti fill your life with joy, bring good health, and shower prosperity upon everyone. May this joyous occasion strengthen bonds of unity and bring positivity to all.”
PM Modi also conveyed his best wishes for Magh Bihu, a harvest festival celebrated in Assam and parts of Northeast India. He said, “Magh Bihu is a celebration of harvest, prosperity, happiness, and unity. May this festival bring abundance, good health, and joy to every home. Gratitude and goodwill guide us towards a bright and prosperous future.”
Through these messages, the Prime Minister emphasized unity, gratitude, and collective prosperity, reflecting the cultural richness and shared spirit of festivals celebrated across India.
