“ज्ञानं विरक्तिरैश्वर्यं शौर्यं तेजो बलं स्मृतिः। स्वातन्त्र्यं कौशलं कान्तिर्धैर्यं मार्दवमेव च॥”
Meaning of the Shloka:
The shloka conveys that the true aim of life is to cultivate and embody knowledge, detachment, wealth, courage, brilliance, strength, memory, freedom, skill, radiance, patience, and gentleness. It serves as a reminder that these qualities together form the foundation of a balanced, purposeful, and fulfilled life.
Across the country, celebrations are in full swing. Citizens are sharing greetings on social media, visiting temples, and participating in cultural and spiritual events to welcome 2026. Leaders from various political parties have also extended their New Year wishes, emphasizing hope and unity.
With this timeless message, PM Modi encourages all Indians to embrace the New Year with wisdom, resilience, and compassion, reflecting the ancient values that continue to guide modern India.
