Patna Hostel Case: Lalu’s Daughter Launches Fresh Attack on Nitish Kumar Following ‘Operation Leapapoti’

Patna, Bihar: The investigation into the Patna Girls Hostel case is still ongoing, with the SIT report yet to be submitted. Amidst the developments, Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav, has launched a sharp attack on the Bihar government, directly targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Rohini Acharya, who contested the last Lok Sabha elections from Saran on an RJD ticket, expressed outrage over the death of a girl preparing for NEET in Patna, questioning the state government’s claims about women’s safety.

Rohini Acharya Criticizes Government Apathy
On Saturday, Rohini posted on the social networking platform X (formerly Twitter), addressing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. She wrote:

“Chief Minister, it is a matter of shame that despite all your claims of rule of law, daughters in Bihar remain unsafe. The sad truth is that the government’s insensitivity, administrative apathy, and failure to ensure women’s safety have left sisters and daughters completely unprotected. Astonishingly, almost daily, acts of abuse, sexual assault, and atrocities against women occur across the state, yet the government remains in a deep slumber.”

Questioning Law Enforcement in Bihar
Rohini further questioned the effectiveness of law enforcement, writing:

“Chief Minister, this raises the question: Do criminals in Bihar have no fear of the law? Despite your directives, why do violent and sexual crimes against daughters continue unabated? Has the perception spread among criminals that they can commit crimes and easily escape accountability?”

Referring to Patna Incidents
In her post, she also highlighted two specific incidents in Patna, reiterating her criticism of the government’s handling of the NEET student’s death. Earlier, she had written:

“Bihar asks for answers. Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar must respond. In the Shambhu Girls Hostel rape and murder case, ‘Operation Leapapoti’ continues under the cover of SIT investigation to protect someone.”

Rohini Acharya’s remarks come amid rising public anger over the Patna hostel incident, keeping the spotlight on the state government’s approach to women’s safety and accountability.
