Patna: The NDA has registered a sweeping victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, securing 202 seats, and preparations are underway for Nitish Kumar to take oath as Chief Minister once again. Amid the political buzz, an old interview of popular educator Khan Sir has resurfaced, drawing renewed attention to his strong remarks on Nitish Kumar’s leadership, work, and health.
“Nitish Kumar Will Remain CM as Long as He Lives”: Khan Sir
In his earlier interview with ANI, Khan Sir had praised Nitish Kumar as a leader who has been a “blessing for Bihar.”
He added that although Nitish Kumar has always worked for the betterment of the state, his deteriorating health has reduced his pace and influence.
When asked who is taking decisions on the CM’s behalf, Khan Sir responded indirectly:
“If a Nokia phone is placed inside an iPhone box, anyone can understand what it means.”
His comment triggered widespread speculation at the time.
Praise for Nitish Kumar’s Development Work
Khan Sir highlighted that Bihar witnessed significant improvements under Nitish Kumar’s governance, saying:
- Roads and highways developed rapidly
- Electricity supply strengthened
- New bridges and major infrastructure projects took shape
He remarked that declining health affects even the strongest of leaders:
“Even a lion grows old eventually.”
When further asked who could replace Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister, Khan Sir firmly said:
“Nitish Kumar has done a lot for Bihar. He is a blessing. As long as he lives, he will remain the CM.”
JDU’s Strong Performance in 2025
The 2025 elections proved to be a major comeback for the Janata Dal (United):
- JDU jumped from 43 seats in 2020 to 85 seats in 2025
- Both BJP and JDU contested on 101 seats each
- Together, the NDA secured a massive 202-seat majority
Political observers are crediting the results to Nitish Kumar’s solid rural outreach, his understanding of caste dynamics, and the synergy within the NDA alliance.
