Patna/Vaishali: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived in Vaishali district today, Saturday, as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra. Several key programs are lined up during the visit, including the inspection of Tej Pratap Yadav’s much-awaited dream project, which has been under development for several years.
The CM is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for 128 development schemes worth ₹15,194.31 crore in Vaishali. Out of these, 103 projects will be inaugurated remotely, while 25 schemes will see their foundation stone laid in person. The Panchayati Raj and District Council departments account for the majority, with 57 completed projects.
Tej Pratap Yadav’s Dream Project:
The dream project traces back to 2015, when Tej Pratap Yadav, then Health Minister in CM Nitish Kumar’s cabinet, initiated efforts to establish the Mahua Medical College. Approval came in 2016, and in 2021, CM Nitish Kumar remotely laid the foundation stone. Although Tej Pratap was not physically present at that ceremony, he joined via video call to express gratitude for the project.
Currently, the newly constructed medical college and hospital at Chhatwara are almost ready, with multiple academic blocks, residential facilities, and the OPD building completed. The installation of medical equipment is in progress. The Bihar Medical Services & Infrastructure Corporation, Patna, is responsible for the project on a 22-acre land allocated by the Agriculture Department under Mahua Assembly.
Other Highlights in Vaishali:
After inspecting the medical college, the CM will visit Mahua and Bateshwar Nath Temple, where a high-tech pandal has been set up to accommodate the crowd eager to see the Chief Minister. He will then fly to Jandaha block, land at the new helipad, and inspect a library and pond before proceeding to Bateshwar Nath Dham for a temple visit and rituals.
The Samriddhi Yatra continues to emphasize inclusive development, public engagement, and infrastructure growth in Vaishali, marking a significant milestone in Bihar’s governance initiatives.
