Nitish Kumar’s ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ in Samastipur: CM to Launch Projects Worth ₹827 Crore

Samastipur (Bihar):
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be visiting Samastipur on Thursday, January 29, as part of the second phase of his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’. During his visit, the CM is scheduled to lay the foundation, inaugurate, and commence work on a total of 188 development projects worth ₹827 crore across the district.

Key Projects and Initiatives

According to District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha, the CM will personally inaugurate 74 projects worth ₹273.22 crore, initiate work on 43 projects worth ₹83.89 crore, and lay the foundation for 71 projects costing ₹470.24 crore. These initiatives span multiple sectors and aim to boost infrastructure, health, and governance in the district.

The Chief Minister will also hold a public dialogue at the Housing Board Ground in Jitwarpur, where he will interact with citizens and seek feedback on ongoing government schemes.

Panchayat and Health Initiatives

Besides the major projects, Nitish Kumar will inaugurate newly constructed Panchayat Government Buildings and Health & Wellness Centres. His visit marks the conclusion of the second phase of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’.

Cabinet Meeting Expected

Officials indicate that following the public engagements, the CM may chair a cabinet meeting, where key decisions could be taken ahead of the Bihar Assembly Budget Session, which is scheduled to begin on February 2, 2026, with the budget to be presented on February 3.

The district administration has made extensive security and logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful visit.
