Nitish Kumar Reviews Pending Projects in Muzaffarpur During ‘Samriddhi Yatra’

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, currently on his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ across the state, is set to visit Muzaffarpur today to inaugurate new development projects worth ₹850 crore. Alongside unveiling these new initiatives, the CM will also review several ongoing schemes that remain incomplete, addressing the hurdles that have delayed their implementation.

During the visit, Nitish Kumar will closely examine the challenges that have stalled these projects, ranging from land acquisition issues to other administrative hurdles. Key incomplete projects under scrutiny include:

Incomplete Six-Lane Road

The six-lane road stretching from Ramdayalu Nagar to Chandni Chowk, with an estimated cost of ₹89.77 crore, has faced multiple delays. The CM will conduct a detailed review of land acquisition challenges and other obstacles to find timely solutions.

Gobarsahi ROB (Rail Over Bridge)

The construction of the Gobarsahi ROB, a vital infrastructure project, remains unfinished despite a planned budget of ₹167.68 crore. Its delay was noted during the previous ‘Pragati Yatra’, and the CM aims to expedite its completion.

Jagannath Mishra Bridge Approach Road

The approach road for the Jagannath Mishra Bridge, essential for easing traffic and improving connectivity in Muzaffarpur, is also pending. Land acquisition hurdles have delayed this ₹120 crore project, which the CM will review personally.

Panchayat Government Building

A ₹80 crore project to house all panchayat offices and services under one roof remains incomplete. Nitish Kumar’s ‘dream project’ aims to centralize public services efficiently, and the CM will evaluate steps to ensure its completion.

Bridge over Bagmati River

During the previous ‘Pragati Yatra’, the CM had promised the public a bridge over the Bagmati River to improve local connectivity. However, this project is still pending, and the CM plans to address the delays during today’s visit.

The ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ in Muzaffarpur thus combines inauguration of new projects with a hands-on review of unfinished schemes, underlining Nitish Kumar’s focus on accelerating development while resolving bottlenecks in ongoing initiatives.
