Nitin Nabin Meets RSS Bodies Ahead of Possible Major BJP and Modi Government Reshuffle

The national executive president of the BJP, Nitin Nabin, is increasingly taking on wider responsibilities within the party. He has now been tasked with engaging with organizations affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a move seen as significant ahead of anticipated major changes in both the BJP and the Narendra Modi-led central government.

Preparations Underway for a Major Reshuffle

Sources indicate that following January 14, significant changes are expected within the central government and BJP organizational structure. All central office-bearers of the party have reportedly been instructed to remain in the national capital in preparation for these developments. Ahead of this, Nitin Nabin is set to begin a series of meetings with various RSS-affiliated bodies, aimed at strengthening coordination between the BJP and its ideological organizations.

Engagement with RSS Organizations

According to reports, these meetings are designed to address issues that have arisen in the past regarding coordination between the BJP and the 36 or more organizations affiliated with the RSS. Party sources describe the sessions as largely introductory, allowing Nitin Nabin to familiarize himself with these bodies and their concerns. Observers view this engagement as a strong indicator of his potential elevation to the role of BJP national president in the near future.

Building Coordination Ahead of New Responsibilities

Detailed agendas have been prepared for these meetings, with BJP-appointed coordinators facilitating interaction between the party and its ideological partners. The goal is to ensure that Nitin Nabin, in his likely new role as national president, fully understands the party’s structure and the coordination required across its affiliated organizations.

National President Election Expected by January 20

Reliable party sources suggest that Nitin Nabin’s formal appointment as BJP national president could be finalized by January 20. The decision comes ahead of upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, which are expected to be contested under the leadership of the new national president.
