Nitin Nabin Adopts Firm Tone in Gujarat, Advises BJP Leaders to Work ‘Two Steps Below Their Position’

Ahmedabad, Gujarat: On the second day of his three-day visit to Gujarat, BJP National President Nitin Nabin addressed party office bearers at the state headquarters, Shri Kamlam in Gandhinagar, and delivered strong guidance on party work and leadership. Sources report that Nabin urged leaders to perform their duties “two steps below their official positions”, emphasizing that tangible results are achieved only through hands-on engagement.

Firm Advice to City and District Leaders
During the session, Nitin Nabin underscored the importance of elected representatives maintaining a strong connection with their local constituencies. “When a leader stays grounded and engages directly with the people, the party benefits,” he stated. Speaking firmly to newly appointed city and district heads, he emphasized, “You must work two steps below your official role to achieve good outcomes. Maintain your public image and ensure that elected representatives remain in direct touch with the people.”

With municipal and district panchayat elections scheduled in Gujarat over the next two months, Nabin’s directions carry significant weight. Party sources indicate that his remarks are being seen as a clear call to strengthen organizational discipline and grassroots outreach ahead of the polls.

Focus on Social Media and Local Organization
Nitin Nabin also advised leaders to enhance their presence on social media and remain actively engaged. He encouraged party office bearers to establish capable local teams in their districts before overseeing other areas. “You must build your party base at the district level before attempting to manage responsibilities elsewhere,” he added.

Nitin Nabin began his Gujarat visit on 20 February, and after participating in PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program on 22 February, he is scheduled to return to Delhi. National Organization Minister B.L. Santosh accompanied him on this visit.
