Pana: In the 2025 BiharAssembly Elections, the NDA not only secured a historic majority but also erased the most painful blot left by the 2020 elections — its complete wipeout in eight districts. In 2020, the NDA had failed to win even a single seat in Kaimur, Buxar, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Sheohar, and Kishanganj.
But in 2025, an unprecedented “wave of votes” turned the situation around, allowing the BJP-led alliance to reclaim lost ground and re-establish its dominance.
Below is a district-by-district report of how the NDA transformed its defeats into emphatic victories:
Kaimur: From Zero in 2020 to a Triumphant Comeback in 2025
In 2020, Kaimur had completely rejected the NDA. This time, the voters reversed their decision.
Out of four seats, NDA secured three, with only one seat going to the BSP.
- Mohania: BJP’s Sangeeta Devi won
- Bhabhua: BJP’s Bharat Bind secured victory
- Chainpur: JDU captured the seat
- Ramgarh: BSP’s Satish Kumar emerged victorious
This dramatic shift wiped away the Alliance’s earlier humiliation.
Buxar: Turning 2020’s Pain into 2025’s Healing
Buxar, another district where the NDA had drawn a blank in 2020, delivered a strong verdict in favour of the alliance in 2025.
NDA won three out of four seats:
- Dumraon: Rahul Kumar
- Rajpur: Santosh Nirala
- Buxar: BJP’s Anand Mishra
The clean sweep of 2020 was emphatically overturned.
Rohtas: NDA Shines After a Dark Past
In 2020, the NDA failed to secure even one of Rohtas’ six seats.
But in 2025, the alliance stormed back, winning five out of six seats:
- Chenari: LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Murari Gautam
- Sasaram: RLSP’s Snehlata
- Karghar: Bashisth Singh
- Dinara: RLSP’s Alok Singh
- Nokha: JDU’s Nagendra Chandravanshi
Only Dehri was lost, but the dominance was clear.
Aurangabad: Miraculous Turnaround with 5 Out of 6 Seats
In 2020, Aurangabad had rejected the NDA entirely.
In 2025, the district almost flipped completely, giving the alliance five of six seats:
- Obra: LJP(R)’s Prakash Chandra
- Nabinagar: JDU’s Chetan Anand
- Rafiganj: JDU’s Pramod Singh
- Aurangabad: JDU’s Trivikrama Singh
- Kutumba: HAM’s Lallan Ram
The Mahagathbandhan’s stronghold collapsed dramatically.
Jehanabad: Stain Removed, Even If Not Fully Dominated
Jehanabad had been another zero district for the NDA in 2020.
In 2025, the alliance managed to break the losing streak:
- Ghosi: Ritiraj Kumar of NDA won
Although Makhdumpur and Jehanabad seats stayed with the RJD, the clean sweep of 2020 was undone.
Arwal: Complete Sweep for NDA
Arwal had also rejected the NDA entirely in 2020.
This time, the alliance won both seats:
- Arwal: BJP’s Manoj Kumar Sharma
- Kurtha: JDU’s Pappu Kumar
A full reversal of the previous verdict.
Sheohar: NDA Reclaims the Lone Seat
The sole constituency of Sheohar district also corrected the 2020 verdict.
- Sheohar: JDU’s Shweta Gupta registered a clear win
This ended the district’s “zero-seat” tag.
Kishanganj: Partial Recovery, but Stain Removed
Though Kishanganj did not produce sweeping results for the NDA, the alliance succeeded in winning one important seat:
- Thakurganj: JDU’s Gopal Agarwal
With this, even Kishanganj could no longer be counted among the “zero districts.”
Conclusion: BJP-Led NDA Erases Every ‘Zero’ from Its Electoral Map
The 2025 results show that the NDA turned its 2020 humiliation into motivation.
The alliance delivered decisive victories in all eight districts where it previously had no presence, demonstrating organisational strength, leadership consolidation, and a powerful voter shift.
The “zero stain” of 2020 has now been washed away by a 2025 electoral tsunami.
