Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Cryptic Message Sparks Political Speculation: Will He Reunite with BJP?

Chandigarh: Former Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu has once again stirred political discussions with a cryptic video message on social media. Sidhu’s post, in which he urges people to “let go of what they haven’t received,” has fueled speculation that he may be exploring new political avenues.

In the brief 20-second video, Sidhu is seen holding a cup of tea in a serene garden setting, wearing a calm smile. Yet, the words he chooses carry an unmistakable undertone of discontent. “Guru, be a little loyal to life, let go of what you haven’t received, not everyone is worthy of you, enjoy tea alone,” he says. Observers interpret this as a subtle protest against the Congress leadership’s recent sidelining of the veteran leader.

The controversy stems from a key meeting convened by the Congress high command at the residence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi two days ago. Senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, and Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, met with Punjab leaders such as Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Charanjit Singh Channi, Pratap Singh Bajwa, and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa to discuss the state’s political scenario, caste issues, and internal party dynamics ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Sidhu was notably absent from this discussion, intensifying speculation about his political future.

Close associates say Sidhu had expected direct communication from the party leadership, and being left out reportedly left him feeling hurt. After long phone conversations with his supporters, he opted to express his displeasure publicly through the video.

Adding to the political conjecture, Sidhu’s wife, Navjot Kaur, has recently expressed admiration for BJP leaders, including Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Amit Shah, further fueling rumors about the couple potentially returning to their political roots in the BJP. Sources suggest that a comeback to the BJP cannot be ruled out, especially since both Sidhu and his wife began their political careers with the party.
