Makar Sankranti Celebrations in Bihar: CM Nitish Enjoys Traditional ‘Dahi-Chuda’ Feast with Anand Mohan and Chirag Paswan

Patna, Bihar: The festive spirit of Makar Sankranti is alive and well in Bihar, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar partaking in the traditional ‘Dahi-Chuda’ feast in Patna. The CM first visited the residence of former MP Anand Mohan, where he was warmly welcomed by his son, MLA Chetan Anand, and daughter-in-law Lovely Anand. Later, Nitish Kumar also visited the home of Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), to indulge in the traditional celebration.

At Chetan Anand’s residence, the CM was presented with a symbolic gift in honor of the occasion. Other prominent attendees included Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, MLAs Shyam Rajak, Ratnesh Sada, and several party members and supporters. The tradition of Dahi-Chuda feasts has been observed in political circles in Patna over the last three days, marking the festive season with great enthusiasm.

A Warm Welcome from Chirag Paswan’s Residence

Later in the day, CM Nitish Kumar attended another Dahi-Chuda event organized at the headquarters of LJP (Ram Vilas) on Wheelers Road, where he was greeted by Chirag Paswan, the National President of LJP. During the event, Nitish Kumar paid tribute to the portrait of the late former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. The gathering also included Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Public Health Engineering Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh, MP Arun Bharti, and several other political representatives and party workers.

This tradition of sharing a simple yet symbolic meal has brought together key political figures, reaffirming the spirit of unity and cultural heritage in Bihar.
